I get what you're saying but I think blanket term trans is nice bc you don't reveal what's in your pants/shirt to the world, which is often not just personal choice, but dictated by money and access to health care. And it's feels like a 1980s slippery slope to get back into the weeds of deciding how much surgery/hormones/psych diagnosis would "qualify" as transexual vs. transgender. I'm not against anyone calling themselves transexual, but it seems petty to judge others if they just wanna say trans...or even just woman and not trans woman. The medical stuff is between them and their doctors.
